Settings
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Settings is where account admins configure how Lextree works for everyone in the account. Open Admin → Settings to reach these areas.
Modules
Enable or disable product modules. Turning a module on adds it to the navigation for everyone with access; turning it off hides it — your data stays put. When you turn a module on, Lextree also offers to grant yourself Editor access to it, so you’re not left locked out of a module you just enabled. The change saves the moment you flip the toggle, but the left navigation keeps showing the old list until you click Reload, which appears once your toggles differ from what the page loaded with. Module enable/disable is available on all plans.
Field Settings
Customize the fields on any record type — add, edit, reorder, and delete custom fields to match how your team works. System fields stay locked. Available on all plans. See Custom Fields for the field types and rules.
Timeline Settings
Configure the timeline states available for each record type — add, reorder, and retire states, each mapped to an overall status. Available on all plans.
Calendar Event Templates
Create reusable event templates that pre-fill the event form — name, recipients, reminder schedule, and recurrence. Templates can also suggest events automatically. See Event Templates for the full configuration steps.
Workflow Templates
Define reusable workflow processes with standard checklists and one of four outcomes:
- Just track checklist completion — no record is created or changed.
- Create a new record — launches from the record type’s list page rather than from an existing record, since the record doesn’t exist yet.
- Create a related record — runs on an existing record and produces something hanging off it.
- Update this record — completing it changes the record it runs on.
See Workflows for the full mechanics. Workflow templates are available on Business and Enterprise plans.
All of these are account-admin tasks: changes here apply to everyone in the account. The Dashboard’s admin-only Setup card surfaces the same setup steps — confirming modules are on, inviting team members, adding workflow- and event-template participants, and importing data — in one place.
