Grants
Last updated: July 25, 2026
The Grants module tracks grant compliance obligations from both sides — funding your organization receives, and funding it provides to others.
What Grants tracks
Open Grants from the left navigation. There are two perspectives:
Grants received (you’re the grantee):
- Grant Received — a grant award your organization received from a foundation, agency, or other grantor.
- Reports to Grantor — the reports you must submit back to the funder, with their due dates.
- Grant Restrictions — use restrictions and compliance requirements attached to the funding.
Grants made (you’re the grantor):
- Grant Made — a grant award your organization provided to a grantee.
- Reports from Grantee — the reports the grantee must submit to you.
Adding a record
Creating or editing records requires Editor access to the Grants module.
Open the record type, click New, fill in the award details, and Save. Open the grant to add its reports and restrictions and to set deadline reminders.
Who can access grants
- Viewing requires access to the Grants module.
- Creating or editing requires Editor access.
On Enterprise plans, organizational unit (OU) scoping limits records to entities within your assigned OUs.
Common features
These platform features work the same across Lextree. Here's how they apply in Grants.
