Insurance
Last updated: July 25, 2026
The Insurance module tracks the insurance policies your organization carries and the certificates you issue to third parties. (Certificates you receive from vendors live in the Vendors module.)
The Insurance list
Open Insurance from the left navigation to see your policies, with coverage details and renewal dates. Filter with the row beneath the headers, and select rows to Export.
What a policy record holds
Open a policy to see its details and these sections:
- Insured — the legal entities or external parties covered by the policy.
- Policy Periods — renewal periods that track coverage terms over time.
- Endorsements — modifications to coverage, each with an effective date.
Separately, the module tracks Certificates Issued — COIs and other proof of insurance your organization issues to third parties.
Creating a policy
Creating or editing records requires Editor access to the Insurance module.
- From the Insurance list, click New.
- Enter the policy’s coverage details and renewal date.
- Click Save, then open the record to add insured parties, periods, endorsements, and renewal reminders.
Who can access insurance
- Viewing requires access to the Insurance module.
- Creating or editing requires Editor access.
On Enterprise plans, organizational unit (OU) scoping limits the list to policies within your assigned OUs.
