Treasury

Track bank accounts, credit facilities, covenant deadlines, and UCC filings across every entity. Never miss a debt maturity or security lapse.

Never miss a debt maturity, covenant certification, or UCC continuation deadline.

Where Treasury Breaks Down

Bank account details live in welcome packets nobody files. Loan documents sit in partner drives organized by whoever closed the deal three years ago. Covenant certification deadlines appear in a controller’s calendar with no link to the underlying agreement.

A missed covenant certification triggers a technical default. A lapsed UCC continuation leaves your security interest unperfected. Lextree creates a structured record of your banking relationships and debt obligations — not cash forecasting or payment processing, but a treasury compliance record of which accounts exist, who can transact, when facilities mature, and when filings need continuation.

Bank Accounts and Signatories

Most organizations know how many bank accounts they have. Fewer can answer who has signing authority on each one. Each account record captures financial institution, account type, branch, currency, purpose, and owning entity.

Signatory records document who can transact: individual, authority level, single-signature limits, and effective dates. Time-limited authority comes with expiration tracking. When a board resolution grants signatory authority, the record links to the resolution in Board Governance. For dual-signature accounts, the threshold lives on the record. When an officer departs, you see which accounts need updates — before a wire transfer fails approval.

Still tracking signers in a spreadsheet? Start with our free authorized signatory list template for Excel — it imports straight into Lextree.

Debt Maturities

Each facility record captures lender, commitment amount, interest rate terms, maturity date, and secured/syndicated/subordinated status. For multi-borrower arrangements, every party’s role and liability type lives in the record.

Maturity reminders fire at 180, 90, 60, and 30 days. Refinancing isn’t a last-minute task — it requires financial preparation, lender negotiations, and often board approval. Six months of notice gives your team time to act, not scramble. Amendments preserve the modification history: commitment increases, maturity extensions, pricing changes, covenant waivers, full restatements. The facility shows current terms; the amendment chain shows how you got there.

Covenant Certifications

Financial covenants demand periodic certification. Missing a deadline triggers a technical default even when the underlying numbers are sound. Lextree tracks THAT a covenant exists and WHEN certification is due, not whether the covenant is met.

Calculating a debt-to-EBITDA ratio requires financial expertise and agreement-specific definitions — your accountant’s job. Tracking the certification deadline and documenting timely submission is the gap Lextree fills. Each record captures requirement description, threshold, frequency, and breach terms. Certifications build a historical record for each period: due date, submission date, compliance status, certified value. When a lender asks for certification history, the evidence trail already exists.

Organizations still tracking requirements by hand can start with our free loan covenant tracking template and migrate the register into Lextree once the facility count grows.

UCC Filings and Instruments

A UCC-1 filing perfects a security interest in collateral. That perfection lasts five years. Miss the continuation deadline and the security interest becomes unperfected — no grace period, no cure.

Continuation reminders fire at 180, 90, and 60 days, ahead of the six-month window for filing UCC-3 continuation statements. Filing records create an audit trail of every event: initial filing, continuations, amendments, terminations, assignments. Guarantees and letters of credit follow the same pattern — issuing party, beneficiary, maximum exposure, effective and expiration dates, auto-renewal status. Expiration reminders for both fire at 90, 60, and 30 days. A credit facility secured by real property links to Real Estate. Signatory authority connects to Authority.

Built secure

The record auditors trust. Protected the way they expect.

Lextree is built for the people who lose sleep over compliance, so security isn’t optional.

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest

Every byte that moves through Lextree travels over TLS 1.2 or higher, and the managed infrastructure it runs on encrypts stored data with AES-256.

  • Hosted in audited, SOC 2 facilities

Lextree runs on infrastructure certified to SOC 2 Type II, hosted in ISO 27001 data centers.

  • Role-based access, scoped to your data

Users see only what their role allows, and Lextree subscribers never see each other's data.

  • An automatic trail of every change

Every create, update, and delete is logged automatically — in the same database transaction — with the user who made it, a timestamp, and the fields that changed.

  • Daily backups, point-in-time recovery

Your data is backed up on managed infrastructure, with point-in-time recovery to roll back to a moment before a mistake.

  • Passwordless sign-in, SSO, and MFA

Sign in without passwords — Lextree never stores one to be stolen — with multi-factor authentication available and SAML or OIDC single sign-on on Enterprise plans.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Lextree a treasury management system?
No. A treasury management system handles cash positioning, payments, and FX daily. Lextree’s Treasury module is the governance and compliance record above it — bank accounts, signers, credit facilities, debt instruments, and the resolutions that authorized each one.
What kinds of accounts and facilities can be tracked?
Bank accounts, money market accounts, brokerage accounts, lines of credit, term loans, intercompany loans, bond issuances, and any debt or financing instrument with terms, signers, and ongoing covenants.
How does Lextree handle bank signers?
Each account has an explicit list of authorized signers with their authority level, effective date, and the resolution that put them on the account. When someone leaves the company, you can pull every account they signed on in one query — instead of calling each bank.
Can we track covenants and reporting obligations on loans?
Yes. Each credit facility carries its covenants as records with their own dates, thresholds, and reminders. When a quarterly compliance certificate is due, the event fires automatically with the underlying covenant data attached.
How does this connect to Authority and Board Governance?
Opening a bank account, signing a credit facility, or modifying signers usually requires a board resolution. Lextree links each treasury record back to the authorizing resolution and to the authority records that flow from it — one chain from board action to bank record.
Does Lextree integrate with our banks directly?
No. Lextree is the compliance system of record, not a banking connector. The underlying transaction data stays in your TMS or banking platform; Lextree tracks the governance layer that auditors and lenders ask about.
